Grade 3 Introduce new keys (two or three per day) (1) locate the new key on the keyboard, (2) learn which finger strikes the new key,
(3) watch a demonstration of striking new key (4) have child reach to the new key and back to home row position several times and returns to home position, (5) strike keys with quick, sharp
strokes--as if the keys were hot!), (6). Instruct child to strike the new key, with eyes on computer screen, as it is called aloud several times, returning to home row after each strike. Repeat
with the other home keys. Later use two letter combinations from home keys.
Type a paragraph using proper keyboarding techniques.
